The Holt County Humane Society, Inc. is a private,
non-profit organization. We do not receive any monetary
support from the government or national animal welfare
organizations such as the Humane Society of the United
States. We are funded entirely by private donations and
we do not have any paid staff - we are strictly a volunteer
organization and all money that is donated goes directly
towards helping the animals.

If you are interested in adopting a pet from us or have
questions, please keep in mind, that since we are an
all-volunteer organization, we have families, regular jobs,
pets, and very full lives, so please be patient and allow us
sufficient time to get back to you.

The shelter hours are every Saturday from
1 PM to 5 PM
or by appointment only.
